Irish Starter Pack
Venom & Verse | Instagram Social Post
Right now, we’re in the midst of what could be called a New Irish Wave, a cultural renaissance where Irish storytelling, music, and art are resonating globally. As an Irish person living abroad, it’s been incredible to see our culture being embraced and celebrated by so many. This post is a quick introduction for those just stepping into the world of Irish books, films, and TV. It highlights a mix of history, identity, and modern perspectives, making it an accessible starting point for anyone curious about Ireland’s creative landscape.
The Art Of Cigarettes & Daydreams
Venom & Verse | Instagram Social Post
For this design, I merged two images to evoke the surreal and dreamy essence of the piece. I combined paintings of a goldfish outside a window and a clown smoking a cigarette. To me the goldfish symbolises memory, longing and the passing of time, reinforcing the theme of daydreams, whilst the clown captures a sense of nostalgia and melancholy beneath humour. By editing these together, my intention was to create a visual that blurs the lines between fantasy and reality. This draws the viewer into a world of quiet contemplation, and a longing for something just of reach, much like daydreams themselves. The typography was intentionally fluid and whimsical to visually represent the smoke from a cigarette in the outside world and the fog of a daydream in the inner world.

Meet The Team
Venom & Verse | Instagram Social Post
This spread was designed as part of a zine-style digital magazine for Venom & Verse, introducing the new team in a playful yet cohesive way. I aimed to reflect the magazine’s creative tone through a collage layout inspired by scrapbooks and Polaroids, combining analogue textures with clean type for balance. The layering of tape, torn paper and hand-drawn elements adds a personal, DIY feel while maintaining visual structure. I tested both light and dark versions to explore how tone and readability shifted across backgrounds, ultimately selecting the dark version for its depth and contrast.

Spaarndammerbuurt, Amsterdam
LABASAD | Illustrator Assignment
I created this vector map of my neighbourhood in Illustrator, combining hand-drawn icons with a bold, complementary colour palette to give it a childlike, playful feel. The streets, canal, rail track, and park were loosely traced, then layered with illustrated details to bring the area to life. I wanted to capture both the urban and natural sides of the neighbourhood, from bikes, canals, and apartments to Westerpark’s cherry blossoms in spring. The map highlights personal landmarks—like my favourite swim spot at the Houthavens, Café Heilig Leven, and our go-to pizza place—making it both personal and expressive of the area’s character.
