A Stroll Through Spaarndammerbuurt

An illustrated map of my neighbourhood in Amsterdam, capturing the everyday places and rituals that shape life here. The piece traces familiar routes and local spots, from cherry blossom walks in Westerpark, to summer swims at the Houthavens, to evenings spent in my local traditional Dutch brown bar.

It reflects the small routines that build a sense of home: picking up Neapolitan pizza just around the corner, cycling through quiet streets, and going home to a cosy shared apartment. The illustration is both a personal map and a visual diary of place, memory and movement through my favourite neighbourhood in Amsterdam.
